Come to think of it my same sis gave me that lantern too many years ago! |
Here's the before. Not the best pic but you get the idea.
We've made so many improvements to this little house that have made big impact. Now that ugly wall is an interesting and happy focal point. Almost everyone that comes into the kitchen for the first time remarks on how they love it. When we replace all the cabinets I plan on painting the walls a very fresh herb green. There is still so much to do in this house. I just have to remember all that we have done and remember just how awful it looked when we moved in compared to now... work, work!
Pretty pretty pretty!! I am loving how the house is coming along. You are a really good designer Ang.

prolly before the 1950s. just guessing
ReplyDeleteThank you Melissa! It's so nice to hear that after all this hard work. And thank you for commenting!
ReplyDeleteScot, you really think it's before the 1950's? I guessed the fifties since I know thats when they did the little remodel back there and the style. hmmm..
I LOVE the owl painting and what a perfect spot you found for it. I love the blue and yellow shades together.
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for yellow and blue, it's so soothing and makes me feel so hyggelig! It's all around the house. I should post more pics of the house soon. Some before and afters. The Owl painting was from this huge art festival we have in our town each summer. Mo and I both saw it and wanted it but she gave in and let me have it for a housewarming gift. Isn't she the bestest?
